Dainis Graduates with His Bachelor's Degree

Dainis graduated from Embry Riddle Aeronautical Universitywith his Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Aeronautics.

Our New Life Together

After returning from our honeymoon. we settled into our new home in Lakeville, MN.  Dainis worked for Northwest Airlines when we met and I started working in sales and marketing there after we were married.  We had a great life and blessed with so many wonderful things.  We both had flight benefits and had the opportunity to travel.  Dainis went back to school after we had been married for a few years and graduated Spring 2002 with his Bachelor's of Science and Professional Aeronautics degree.  We decided to start our family and were very excited to start the next stage of our lives.  We did all the things everyone says you should do before you have kids.  We bought the mini-van, fenced our backyard, and bought a dog!!!  Our dog was a border collie named Tasha.

We went to Nassau, Bahamas for a week after our wedding and had a wonderful time on the beach.  We are so excited about our life together!

We're Married!

We were married at Woodhaven Presbyterian Church in Las Colinas, Texas on March 28, 1998 at 5:30 PM.  We had a reception following the ceremony at the Omni Mandalay Hotel.  We had a wonderful wedding and reception, as we celebrated with family and friends. 

We're Engaged

I was transferred to MN in January 1997 for my job with Phillips Petroleum Corporation.  I had never seen so much snow!!!  We met in March at church and started dating.  We always went to a lake called Lake Nakomis for our dates and a pizza restaurant called Fat Lorenzo's.  On June 23rd, after pizza and a walk around the lake, Dainis asked me to marry him.  The wedding was set for March 28, 1998.  The next year was a whirl wind of activity as we got ready for our new life together.  There were family members for Dainis to meet, pictures to be taken, houses to finish, and lots of wedding planning.  I  resigned from my position at Philips and started working on the wedding in Dallas.  This is where my parents lived and a lot of my college friends from the University of Texas.  Today, we love each other even more now.
