Relief efforts are under way for the victims of the floods and mudslides in Colombia. This is the worst flooding Colombia has experienced in three decades, and it is estimated that damages are up to $5 billion. Over two million people have lost their homes and are in need of food assistance, water, shelter, and health services. Although Bogota has experienced the floods, it was not been affected by the mudslides. All of the orphanages our agency works with are in the capital city of Bogota. After speaking to our agency, the floods have not affected the adoption process for the orphanages we are working with.
